Digna V. Rodriguez (nee Mendez) 94 of Lakewood died on Tuesday April  18, 2017. The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, NJ. on Saturday at  8:30  AM. The funeral mass will be in Blessed Sacrament Church in Elizabeth at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Linden. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 PM. Born in Cuba she arrived in the USA in 1969 living in Elizabeth.

Digna  was married to the late Francisco Rodriguez, and is the mother of Irene Garcia and husband Luis. Sister of Hilda and Maria. She is survived by her grandchildren Ana, and husband Walter, Robert and wife Kerrie, great grandchildren Ryan, Emma, and Lauren, and also nieces Mirta, Marie, Veronica, Marilyn, Sergio, Natasha, and Tiago.

Also her many nieces and nephews that are throughout the country.

Her life and legacy will endure in the hearts of all the lives she's touched.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers that you make memorials to The Alzheimer's Association Greater N.J Chapter 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 in her memory.
