Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday at 8:30 AM.

Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Newark at 10 AM.

Entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.

Visitation on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.

Born in Newark, Dominic was a lifelong resident of the Ironbound section of Newark.

He worked for 42 years as a ticket agent for the Penn Railroad, then Amtrak before retiring.

He was a Combat engineer with the rank of Corporal while serving in the Army during WWII.

Dominic participated in the landing at Normandy, Battle of the Bulge and received a Purple Heart, Victory Metal and the Good Conduct Metal.

He played with the Newark Busters Baseball team #5 and later worked at the Clubhouse of the Newark Bears.

Dominic is the beloved husband of 68 years to Theresa (nee Carlucci).

Father of Sam wife Kathy, Connie Roth, husband David and Kathy Chencharik, husband Robert.

Grandfather of Nick, Kari, Marc, Christina, Michael, Steven and Joseph.
