Dorothy Grippardi (nee Karcher) 95, of Toms River died on Saturday September 21 ^st , 2013 at home.

The funeral service will be in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Tuesday at 10 am. The visitation will be on Tuesday from 8:30 – 10 AM. Entombment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.

Born in Newark she lived in Irvington, Edison, and Fords before moving to Toms River 31 years ago. She was a member of The SWAN Volunteer Organization and the Women’s Club both are part of the Silver Ridge Park Westerly Development Association.

Dorothy was the wife of the late Joseph Grippardi for 68 years until he died in 2007. She is the mother of Alice and the late Richard Grippardi. She was also the sister of the late Louise Stephens, Florence Michaels, Harry, John, Edward, Norman, and Fred Karcher.
