Edmund V. Ferroni 83 of Bridgewater, NJ died on Monday Nov. 14, 2016, at Brandywine Senior Living in Bridgewater.

The funeral service will be in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, in Union, NJ on Wednesday at 11:30 am.

Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park also in Union.

Visitation will be on Wednesday in the funeral home from 10 - 11:30 AM.

Born in Newark, he worked for the Irvington Board of Education for many years.

A veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War,

He was a member of the VFW post #5445 in East Orange, NJ.,

and the BPOE Elks Lodge #1583 in Union

Edmund was the husband of the late Shirley  Ferroni (nee Mercadente) ,

and the father of the late Debbie Close.

He was also the brother of Alexander, Archie, and Nicky Ferroni, Rose Marie Ventura, Lucy Ulrich, and Irene Leavy.

As well as the grandfather of Andrew, Samantha, and Dominique Close.
