Edward L. Beach, III, of Union, New Jersey, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 after a short illness. Mr. Beach was a graduate of Union High School Class of 1969 and Ursinus College Class of 1973, and played football for the schools’ teams. Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Edward L. Beach, Jr., and Delores Fisher, brother of Diane Rice and Andrew Beach. He is survived by his daughter Jessica Beach and by his son Gregory Beach and daughter-in-law Cheryl, along with his grandsons Nicholas and Christopher Beach, and his former wife Kathleen Segale.

Mr. Beach was an insurance agent for Prudential for twenty years. He enjoyed music, particularly country, rock and roll, and Motown, and loved a good comedy. He loved animals, especially his Siberian huskies and his cats, Jerry and Ginny. He liked trains and was a Civil War buff, providing his children with battlefield tours on summer vacations. He enjoyed visiting Gettysburg, and visiting with his parents in West Virginia and his sister in Virginia.

Mr. Beach greatly loved his nieces and nephew, Jordan Rice, Alexandra Rice, April Beach, and Andrew Beach. There was nothing he loved more than spending time with his children and extended family. He was the original Clark Griswold of Christmas decorating and created a winter wonderland for all the kids every year. He leaves behind a loving extended family of cousins and their children.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested Memorials in his name be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
