Edwin R. Rivera 54, of Union died on Wednesday January 2 ^nd , 2013 at Overlook Medical Center in Summit.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, on Monday at 9 am. The funeral mass is at Holy Spirit Church in Union at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-5 pm.

Born in Puerto Rico he lived in Kearny, before moving to Union 19 years ago. He was a mechanical engineer for Asco Engineering in Florham Park for 5 years.

Edwin is married to his wife Evelyn (nee Altreche) for 26 years, and is the father of Edwin Rivera Jr. and Nereida Rivera. He is also the son of Benilda (nee Matos) and the late Rafael Rivera as well as the brother of Angel Rivera, and Lorna Blanco.
