Elaine Patterson 56, of Union died on Saturday October 12 ^th , 2013 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday at 9 am. The funeral mass will be in St. Michael Church in Union at 10:15 am. Cremation will be private. Visitation is on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Born in Jersey City she lived in Hillside before moving to Union 14 years ago. She was last employed by Valcor Engineering Co. in Springfield before retiring 2 years ago. She loved cooking, reading, and going to the Jersey Shore, and she was a 3 time cancer survivor.

Elaine was married to her husband George Nordstrom for 18 years. She is the daughter of Margaret (nee Mc Donald) and the late Robert Patterson and is the sister of Dennis, the late David, Kenneth, and Barbara Patterson, as well as the aunt of Sean and David. She also is the niece of Teresa Henkleman, and the cousin of Dorothy Campise, and is survived by many other family and friends.
