Elizabeth Grotyohann

Elizabeth R. Grotyohann, 81 of West Caldwell passed away at Arbor Glen Center in Cedar Grove on May 27, 2019.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Betty lived there with her family for many years until moving to West Caldwell in 1963. Finding that she enjoyed caring for others, she became a registered nurse, working first in Brooklyn and later at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge before retiring. After her retirement, Betty was the owner and operator of Back Porch Crafts, and spent many years creating lovely sculptures and various crafts and artwork.

Elizabeth was the beloved wife of Edward Grotyohann; loving mother of Bob Grotyohann and his wife Wendy, and Roger Grotyohann and his wife Karolyn; and was the adoring grandmother of Lauren, Natalie, Justin and Connor.

Funeral services are private, in the care of the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell.
