Elizabeth T. Lee

Elizabeth T. Lee (nee Jones), 95, of Union, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ on Saturday at 8 am. The Funeral Mass is at St. Genevieve Church in Elizabeth at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation is on Friday from 4 to 8 pm.

Born in Newark, NJ, Elizabeth lived in Vailsburg for many years before moving to Union in 1983. A Navy veteran of World War II, she served with the Navy WAVES as a chaplain assistant. She worked as an Assistant Vice President at Fidelity Union Bank in Newark in the mortgage department for many years. She also was a member of the St. Genevieve's Leisure Group, Past Treasurer of the Rosary Society, and member of the American Legion Post #35 in Union.

Beloved wife of the late Peter J. Lee Sr.; loving mother of Peter J. Lee Jr. and his wife Suzanne, Barbara A. Spangenberg and her husband Robert, and James P. Lee and his wife Maree; cherished grandmother of Lisa and her husband Orlando Sr., Michelle and her husband Ricky, Mark, Matthew, Lauren and her husband Phil, Jillian and her husband Mike, Marissa and her husband Kurt, Ryan, Colin, Rick and his wife Kathy, and Katie; adored great grandmother of Orlando Jr., Jessenia, and Gabriella; sister of Donald Jones, Helen Bergen, and the late William and Raymond Jones, and the late Margaret Lengyel.
