Enio J. Calluori MD of North Caldwell passed away at Hackensack University Medical Center  on March 16, 2013.

The Funeral  will be from the Galante Funeral Home 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell, on Thursday at 8:30 AM. The Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame Church North Caldwell at 10 AM. Interment Mt Hebron Cemetery.

Visitation Wednesday  from 2 to 8 PM.

Dr. Calluori was born in Newark and lived in North Caldwell 40 years. His specialty was  Internal Medicine and Cardiology and Practiced in Newark for many years. Dr. Calluori received a B.S. Degree from Seton Hall University, The University of Rome and M.D. from the University of Padua School of Medicine and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He also did Post Graduate studies at Columbia University.

Dr. Calluori completed his residency at Martland Medical Center in Newark and was the chief resident in Internal Medicine at Martland,  and Cardiology residency at Montfiore Hospital in New York.

Among the appointments Dr. Calluori received were teaching from the American Academy of Family Physicians, Active Teacher Certificate, Preceptor in Medicine U. M. D. N. J., and a Lecturer in Electrocardiology. His Hospital Appointments were  Attending in Medicine at Clara Maass Medical Center Belleville, Columbus Hospital Newark, and Martland Medical Center Newark. Also was a consultant in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Columbus Hospital And Clara Maass Medical Center. Other appointments were he was appointed to the State Board of Medical Examiners in 1976, a member of Advisory Committee on Graduate Medical Education, the Advisory Council of Disability Benefits Department of Labor & Industry in 1978,  Chairman of Excessive Fee Committee of NJ, Editor  of Essex County Medical Bulletin , the Board of Trustees of Columbus Hospital Newark and President of the Medical staff, and the Executive Committee of the Morgagni Medical Society of New York.

Dr. Calluori professional organizations were the American Medical Association, Medical Society of NJ, Essex County Medical Society, Fellow of American College of Anglology,  Trustee of the Essex County Review Organization, Trustee of Physician Health Plan, president of the Essex county Medical Society, president of the Essex County Health Organizations (I.P.A.), Board of Trustees of Columbus Hospital and President of the Medical Staff.

His awards include President Johnson Drug Abuse award in 1965, Pharmacist Guild of NJ Award 1976, Edward L. Nelson Award for Educational Achievement 1988, Editor Award from the Essex County Medical Society, Award of Appreciation from Clara Maass Medical Center 42 years dedicated service, 2002, The Columbus Hospital dedicated Service 2002, Columbus Hospital Presidents Award 2004, The essex County Medical Society Fourth Founders award for role model & leader for organized medicine, 2012, Man of the year, 1994, from the Federation of Italian-American Societies of NJ, and the Certificate of Merit  50 Year Club of American Medicine.

Other activities include Member of the Northern NJ Power Squadron Rank of Lieutenant, Lecturer in Seamanship and Navigation, S.R.Y.C. Salling Club, Medical Design and Art Systems, The Medical Columnist for the Italian Tribune News,  Member of the Columbian Foundation, and the St. Gerard Mens Society and  the Gerardo J. Spatola Civic Association.

Husband of Daria (Nee Wenke) Brother of Michael and his wife Diane.  Cousin of Michael and Shannon and Anna Marie Calluori. Also Surrivied by many nieces & nephews and many cousins in Italy. In lieu of flowers donations to Notre Dame Church, North Caldwell, St Lucys Church  Newark, The Columbian Foundation, and the NJ State Opera would be appreciated.
