Felix A. Del Mauro  (Poppy, Fritz), age 78 of Brick, NJ

passed away Sunday evening, February 24, 2019 at his home

surrounded by his family and friends.

The Funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue Union, N.J. 07083

on Thursday February 28, 2019 at 9 AM

The Funeral Mass will be in St. Michael Church in Union at 10:15 AM

Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, N,J.

Visitation will be on Wednesday February 27, 2019  from 4 - 8 PM

Felix was born in Newark, NJ and grew up in East Orange, and resided in Brick for 14 years.

He was a graduate of East Orange High School.

Where he played football #24 most reliable defensive halfback and the team's punter,

and met his wife, the late Virginia Milano Del Mauro.

He worked at APM Terminals in Port Elizabeth as a checker up until his passing.

He had a love for football, golfing, sleeping on the couch,

and Sunday macaroni promptly at 2 o’clock!

He had a sarcastic, yet charming personality with a heart of gold.

He had a very large group of friends who he cherished dearly and loved as family.

His biggest blessing was his only grandchild, Daniella

whom he shared a strong, special and amazing bond with.

Felix is predeceased by his parents Ida and Joseph A. Del Mauro,

his wife Virginia Milano Del Mauro,

his daughter Maria Theresa Del Mauro and his son Joseph Michael Del Mauro.

He is survived by his loving granddaughter, Daniella Del Mauro,

his daughter-in-law, Antonella Del Mauro,

his brother Joseph Del Mauro, his sister-in-law, Joy Del Mauro,

nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
