Filomena Canale, 91 (nee DiFederico) of Fairfield passed away on September 17, 2017.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Thursday at 8:30 AM. Funeral mass will be offered at St. Thomas More Church in Fairfield on Thursday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Visitation is on Wednesday from 2 - 4 & 7-9 PM.

Filomena was born in Newark, she worked for DuPont in Newark for 5 years as a bookkeeper and later for the Federal Telephone & Telegraph in Newark before her marriage.

Filomena met her husband Agostino while on vacation in Alanno Pescara, Italy, there they married. After returning home they lived in Newark and later settled in Fairfield 43 years ago.

Her husband, Agostino passed away in 1995.

She was the mother of Mary and Dolores Canale
