Florence Collucci
Beloved Matriarch
Florence Collucci (nee Coppola), 98 of Colonia passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2020.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Florence at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Sunday from 5-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Monday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Newark, Florence lived in Edison for 27 years before moving to Colonia. She worked as a secretary for many years at Prudential Insurance Company in Newark, and then at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Always very active, Florence worked well into her 70s, and kept her mind sharp her entire life. Florence enjoyed her frequent trips to Atlantic City, playing the slots and also playing Mahjong. Most of all, she treasured time spend surrounded by her loving family.
Florence was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Collucci; loving mother of Ellen Uchrin and her husband Steve, and the late Ronald Collucci; cherished grandmother of Steve Uchrin and his wife Lauren, Ronald Collucci and his wife Christina, Erica St. Hillaire and her husband Scott, Caren Kromphold and her husband Steven, and Jessica Uchrin. She was the dear great-grandmother of Harper, April, Marlowe, Nico, Sophia and the late Jason. Florence was the treasured sister-in-law of Donald Collucci, Antonette Collucci, Vincent Colucci, Donna Colucci, Margaret Mondi, Marie Alaimo and Christine Paolella, and dear mother-in-law of Candace Collucci. Florence was predeceased by her nine brothers and sisters, and by several loving in-laws. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
