In Loving Memory of Florence Frances Ippolito
Florence Frances Ippolito, a truly selfless soul, left this world on September 27, 2023 surrounded by the love and gratitude of all who were fortunate enough to know her. In every sense of the word, Florence epitomized the essence of selflessness, devoting a lifetime to acts of kindness, compassion, and unwavering support for others.
Born on November 2, 1933, Florence was a beacon of light in the lives of so many. Her boundless generosity knew no bounds, and she consistently placed the needs of others before herself. Florence resided in Union, NJ and retired from Union Police Department after 29 years as a crossing guard. Florence had an extraordinary gift for empathy, always ready to listen and offer a helping hand to anyone who crossed her path. Her ability to connect with people on a deep, emotional level made her a trusted confidant and friend to many.
Florence was a devoted parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, sibling, and friend. Her love knew no bounds, and she gave endlessly to ensure the happiness and well-being of her loved ones. Spending time with her family was most important to her. Sunday dinners, bingo and sleepovers with the kids were her favorite things to do.
Florence will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is predeceased by her husband Peter Ippolito Sr. and son Peter Ippolito Jr. She leaves behind a loving family that includes her daughter Audrey Hodapp and her husband Harry, son Walter Ippolito, and cherished grandchildren Nicole Szydlowski, Walter Ippolito Jr. and Elizabeth Ippolito as well as great-grandchildren Olivia Szydlowski, Jack Ippolito & Lilliana Ippolito.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Florence at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Monday October 2nd from 3-7 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 AM, with the entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven in East Hanover.
Florence's legacy of selflessness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched, and the world is a better place for having had her in it.
As we say our goodbyes to Florence, let us remember the profound impact she had on our lives and strive to carry forward her legacy of selflessness and love.
Rest in eternal peace, dear Florence. Your selflessness has left an indelible mark on the world, and your memory will shine brightly in our hearts forever.
