Fortunato Mangiola, 88, of Newark passed away on January 7, 2018.

Husband of Maria (nee Vasquez).

Father of Celsita Mangiola and Josephine Mangiola - Assuncao (Husband Erasmo Manuel).

Beloved Grandfather of Gianna and Alexa Assuncao.

Brother of Saverio Mangiola, Giovanna Mangiola  and the late Domenico, Giuseppe and Giovanni Mangiola.

Uncle to many nieces and nephews both here and abroad.

Fortunato was born in San Lorenzo Reggio Calabria, Italy. After arriving in the United States he settled in the Ironbound section of Newark where he raised his family.

He was a Longshoreman at Port Newark with the International Longshoreman's Association Union Local 1235 in Newark.
