Frances Brienza

Frances T. Brienza (nee Cicalese), 93 of Union passed away on September 22, 2015.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Theresa Church in Kenilworth at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation is on Thursday from 4-8 PM.

Born in Newark, Frances lived in the Ironbound until she moved to Union in 1955. She worked as a milliner on Brandford Place in Newark after graduating from Arts High; up until meeting and marrying her husband Michael upon his return from World War II.

Frances is the beloved wife of Michael J. Sr.; loving mother of Michael J. Jr. and his wife Linda, Robert W., and Allen J. Brienza and his wife Marguerite. She is also survived by her grandchildren Erica Lynn, Casey and Michael; and by her great-grandchildren Cooper and Caleigh Rae.
