Francis J Bradley, age 71, passed away at Applewood  Estates in Freehold,

on Sunday, October 15, 2017

The Funeral Mass will be in St. Michael Church in Union on Thursday at 10:15 am. Cremation will be held privately. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, NJ.

He was born on August 19, 1946 in Newark, New Jersey to Francis and Florence (Murtagh) Bradley. Francis is a Veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves.

On November 21,1970 he married Patricia “Tisha" Stapleton,  they were married 45 years until she passed away in 2016. Together, they had a daughter and two sons. They lived in Newark, and then in Union for 35 years before moving to Brick, N.J. 3 years ago.

Francis started his career at the Newark Police Department, where he became a highly decorated Officer.  He left the Newark Police Department and finished his career in New Jersey Law Enforcement at the Division of Criminal Justice where he retired as Deputy Chief. Francis then became the Chief of Detectives for the Westchester District Attorney’s office in New York.  Francis left this position to further his career and became the Township Administrator of  Union, NJ  (Union County).   He also served on many boards and committees.

He is the father  Lisa Marie Puccio and her companion Aldo Salonna,  Francis Bradley Jr. and his wife Jordana, and PJ Bradley and his wife Catherine. He also is the brother of  Mariann Keogh, James, Timothy, and the late George  Bradley, as well as the grandfather of Alexis Romano, Connor, Jonah, Brennan, and Ari Bradley.
