Frank James Adamo of Woodland Park, NJ, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Brandywine Living at Mountain Ridge assisted living, Watchung, NJ.
Born in Newark, NJ, on November 22, 1920, Frank lived in East Orange before moving to Woodland Park 50 years ago with his lifelong friend, Jerry DeFalco.
Frank served in the Navy as a signalman abroad on the Destroyer USS Madison during WWII. After the war, he was employed by Colgate Palmolive as a Commercial Artist and designed packaging for their products. He was an extremely talented artist and painter and enjoyed traveling, gourmet cooking, and nature.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Vito and Josephine, his brother, Thomas Adamo, and sisters: Rosemary Coppola, Mary Ancona, Jessie Francischetti, Frances Travagliante, and Violet Caponetto. Frank is survived by his loving sister, Ellie Martin, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be on January 15, 2023, from 2- 4 pm at Galante Funeral Home on 2800 Morris Ave in Union, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to Homeside Hospice on 67 Walnut Ave, #205 in Clark, NJ
