Frank Lanno, 69, of Union, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, surrounded by his loving family.

A memorial service will be held in celebration of Frank’s life in the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday at 7 PM.  Cremation is private.  Memorial visitation is on Friday from 6-8 PM.

Born in Newark, Frank lived in Irvington before moving to Union 24 years ago. He proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War and later worked as a hairdresser for 40 years at Creative Concepts in Union.  Frank loved spending time with his family and friends during the holidays and enjoyed going to Atlantic City.

Frank had always taken care of his family! His devotion to them and his love of life will live on through each cherished memory of him. He will rest in peace with many of his loved ones, including his mother in-law, Josephine D’Iacovo who passed away in August.

Beloved husband of Catherine (nee D’Iacovo) for 24 years; Brother of Carol Sandquist and the late Richard, Robert, George, James, and William Lanno;also survived by his loving dog Sammy.
