Frank Malcolm Minor, Jr., 84 of Upper Montclair passed away at his home on March 13, 2014.
Born in Orange, Malcolm was a lifelong resident of Upper Montclair and Long Beach Island. He graduated from Montclair High School Class of 1947 and graduated from the University of Virginia in 1951. After college, he served in the Coast Guard as a Lt. jg. during the Korean War.
Malcolm was honorably discharged from the Coast Guard in 1954 and spent his career in advertising in New York City working for many prominent agencies. He had a lifetime association with the Montclair YMCA and managed the Indian Guides Program.
Malcolm is the beloved husband of Nancy (nee Reese) for 59 years. The loving father of Malcolm Minor and his wife Kimberly, Michael Minor and his wife Elissa, Anthony Minor and his wife Rosemary, Timothy Minor and his wife Diana, and Allyson Hombach and her husband Rainer. He was the brother of Paul Minor and the late Elliott Minor. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren; Rachael, Malcolm, Eric, Katherine, Carolyn, Juliet, Evan, Owen and Morgan.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, with arrangements entrusted to Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell.
