Gabriela Santiago

Gabriela B. Santiago, 78 of Springfield, NJ and Las Vegas, NV passed away on July 12, 2018.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Church, 45 S. Springfield Ave. in Springfield on Wednesday at 12 noon. Cremation will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Newark. Visitation is at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday morning from 10:30 - 11:30 AM.

Born in Medellin, Colombia, Gabriela moved to Newark in 1965 and has lived in New Jersey and Nevada ever since. She loved to sing and dance, and was an excellent cook. Close to her faith, she always prayed the rosary and her novenas, but her favorite thing to do was spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Gabriela was the loving mother of Maria Augustina Santiago, Jose Lisandro Santiago, Ana Harper and her husband David, and Elizabeth Santiago; and dear grandmother of Bryan, Matthew, Hope, Gabriel, Hanah, Courtney and Chase.
