Gary D. Sobin

Gary D. Sobin, 61, of Linden, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 24, 2023. Gary was born in Irvington on June 12, 1962 to Paul and Millicent Sobin. He is survived by his beloved mother; his brother Jeffrey Sobin and his wife Michele Sobin; his nieces Nikki Grato and Brittany Langley and their husbands William Grato, Jr. and Parker Langley; and his treasured great nephew and great niece William and Gemma. He was predeceased by his father. 

 

Gary had many fond memories growing up in Union. He attended Union High School and went on to college at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Gary began his career at the United States Postal Service and then for the NJ Department of Environmental Protection as an Environmental Specialist in the Discharge Prevention Program. After he retired in 2017, Gary enjoyed spending his time with family and friends. For Christmas, Gary enjoyed helping lead the family tradition in making Kielbasa. He will be greatly missed and always in our loving memory. 

 

A wake will be held in his honor at Galante Funeral Home (2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ) on Wednesday, August 30th between 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
