Gena Scavuzzo

Gena M. Scavuzzo 88, of Millburn on September 26, 2012, passed away at Home.


The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, on Monday at 8:30am. The funeral mass is at St. Rose of Lima Church Short Hills at 10 am. Entombment in Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation Sunday 2-5pm. Born in Newark she lived in Millburn 25 yrs.


Gena was a Claims Manager for Prudential Insurance Co. of America for many years. She was active in the St Mary’s Residents for Children Newark, also President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Columbus Hospital Newark. Gena graduated with a BA Degree from Seton Hall University South Orange.


Sister of Joseph, Peter, Philip Scavuzzo, & the late Sam (Terry) Scavuzzo, Sadie Capo, Vera Marcantonio, & Anna Scavuzzo D’Apice. Daughter of the late James V. & Vita (Nee Marchello) Also aunt on many nieces & nephews & great nieces & nephews.
