Gene Mathews

Gene Mathews, 51 of Paterson passed away suddenly on December 3, 2023.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Gene at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Friday December 8 from 6-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:30 PM. Cremation will be held privately.

Born in Paterson, Gene was a lifelong resident. He worked as a machine operator for Generant in Butler for many years. Gene was an avid comic book collector, and also treasured time spent relaxing, playing video games. He was always looking forward to the next concert he could attend, and was sure to have some always lined up on his calendar.

Gene will be dearly missed by his loving mother Esther Diaz, his uncles Gene Mathews, Arthur Mathews and Joseph Mathews, his Aunt Susan Mathews and by his cherished cousins Danielle Kaiser and her husband Danny, Nicole Denisenko and her husband Ilya, Paige Mathews and Waylon Kaiser.
