Genevieve Travisano

Genevieve Travisano, has sadly passed away at the age of 86. She was born in Newark. Genevieve's passing occurred on August 13, 2023, at Rahway Hospital, leaving behind a void that will be felt by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

From a young age, Genevieve's determination and strong work ethic were evident. As she embarked on her professional journey, she joined Blue Cross Blue Shield at the tender age of 18. Little did anyone know that this would mark the beginning of an illustrious career that would span an impressive 47 years until her retirement at the age of 65. 

 Genevieve is remembered fondly by her surviving family including Frank (nephew) and Eugene (nephew), as well as many grand nieces, nephews, and cousins who were dear to her heart.  Genevieve was predeceased by her late brothers Frank and Eugene. 

In celebrating Genevieve's life and honoring her memory, two commemorative services will take place at Galante Funeral Home-Union Location located at 2800 Morris Ave., Union, NJ 07083. The first gathering will be a visitation, allowing friends and loved ones to come together and pay their respects. This will be held on August 18, 2023, starting at 9:30 am and concluding at 10:30 am. The second service, the Funeral Service itself, will follow immediately after the visitation and commence at 10:00 am. These events serve as an opportunity for those whose lives were touched by Genevieve to gather in unity, share memories, and find solace in each other's company.
