George Herman Enderle
George Herman Enderle was born on Tuesday September 14, 1937 to Herman and Madalene Enderle. George died on Tuesday February 19, 2013. The cause was complications of leukemia. George was a long time resident of Newark where he owned his own business.
George was an All-American boy with a bright mind who lived his life through courage, intelligence, and an abundant sense of humor. He was an All State football and wrestling star at St. Benedict’s Preparatory in Newark and captain of the 1959 Oregon State Beaver football team. George loved to read and was a student of history.
George is survived by his companion Helen De Myrick, his former spouse Milagros Enderle, and his brother Herman Enderle. George is also survived by his children Brian, Alexis, George, Alane, and Andrea along with his eight grandchildren Rachel, Charles, Aimee, William, Brian Jr. Joseph, Justin, and Georgia “Bunny” and four great grandchildren Aurelia, Sawyer, Michael, and Virginia.
If I have seen further, it was by standing on the shoulders of my father, his son George said. He will be missed so very much by those he touched.
Friends are invited to join the family in a memorial mass to be held at 10 am, on Saturday February 23 rd , 2013 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish (Newark Abbey) 528 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Newark, N.J. 07102.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in George Herman Enderle’s memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 495 Old Conn. Path Framingham, Mass. 01701. Arrangements by Galante Funeral Home Union, N.J.
