George Piegaro, 94 of Bloomfield passed away on January 24, 2017.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 259 Oliver St. Newark on Tuesday at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell.
Born in Newark, George was a longtime Bloomfield resident. After serving in the Air Force during World War II, he worked as a technician for Conrail in Newark for many years before retiring.
George is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years Virginia "Nikki" (nee Panetta) and by many other loving relatives.
