Geraldine "Gerri" Minutolo

Geraldine "Gerri" Minutolo (nee Jaeger), 83 of Montville passed away peacefully on November 3, 2019.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Thursday at 8:30 AM. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church in Fairfield at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation is on Wednesday from 3-7 PM at the funeral home.

Born in Queens, NY, Gerri grew up in Brooklyn, later moving to River Edge, NJ, then to Neptune in 1956. She and her family settled in Fairfield in 1970, living there for 24 years before she moved to Montville. After graduating high school, Gerri took a job at AT&T, working with her sister Anne for several years. Gerri lovingly cared for her family, and was a dedicated mother to her children. While in her 60s, Gerri took a job as a florist for 20 years before finally retiring.

Gerri treasured time spent with her loved ones, and most looked forward to annual big family trips to Lake George. She also enjoyed spending time in Fort Myers Beach. FL, and visiting Disney World. After learning delicious Italian cooking from her dear mother-in-law, Fannie, Gerri showed her love with each beautiful meal she prepared, and with every dessert she skillfully baked. Always very active, Gerri had a passion for gardening, and was an avid walker. She also cherished days spent in, reading a good book.

Gerri was the loving mother of Paul Minutolo and Gina Minutolo; dear sister of William Jaeger, Jr. and his wife Linda, the late Anne Bencivengo and her husband the late Justin, and sister-in-law of the late Vincent Minutolo. She is survived by her adoring nieces and nephews Peter and Carol Bencivengo, Paul and Ann Bencivengo, William Jaeger III and his wife Julia, and the late Karen Bencivengo. She is also survived by her great-nieces and nephews, who were like grandchildren- Justin, Claire, Brooke, Christian, Michelle and Kathryn.
