Gerald  (Jerry) K. Miller

Gerald K. (Jerry) Miller 75, of Union, died on Wednesday February 5, 2014 at Overlook Medical Center in Summit.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue Union, on Saturday at 9 am. The funeral mass will be in Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow in Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.  Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 pm.

Born in Scranton, Pa, he lived in Hillside, before moving to Union 50 years ago. He was a warehouse supervisor for Wakefern Corporation in Elizabeth for the last 35 years, and also was employed as a minor league umpire working at the AAA level for many years,  and served in  the US Army during peacetime.

Gerald was the husband of Joann T. Miller  (nee Gambucci) for 51 years and is the father of Kenneth G. Miller and his wife Margaret, and Kim A. Miller. He was also the brother of  R. Jay, Donald, George, and Robert Miller, as well as the grandfather of Christopher, Salvatore, and Joseph Miller, and also was the son of the late Romayne (nee Collins) and Raymond Miller
