Gerard Del Guercio

Gerard T. Del Guercio, 61 of Union passed away on August 7, 2015.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday at 8:15 AM. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Church in Union at 9:30 AM. Cremation is private. Visitation is on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM.

Born in Newark, Gerard lived in Union for 55 years. He worked for AT&T as a salesman until his retirement, when he was able to focus on coaching, which along with his family was his true love. Gerard coached for over 40 years for many organizations and schools, including the Union Teener League, Union Boys & Girls Club, Union Little League, St. Michaels Basketball, Union Legion, Oratory Prep, Raritan Valley College and Ranney Prep.

Gerard was predeceased by his parents Donato and Mary, and by his brother Peter; he is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen (nee Kelley), his loving children  Laura Del Guercio and her fiance Tim, and Daniel Del Guercio; by his mother-in-law Dorothy Kelley, and many nieces and nephews.
