Jerry Crincoli, Native of Vallata and Springfield BusinessmanGerardo “Jerry” Crincoli, 75, of Union, N.J., passed away at home on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, with his loving family by his side. Mr. Crincoli was born in the town of Vallata, in Avellino, Italy. He came to the United States in 1954 and resided in the city of Elizabeth, N.J. before settling in Union, where he and his wife of 44 years, Natalina (nee Sauro), raised their three children. Jerry lived his life with dignity and grace and never let his suffering overcome him. He always had a smile and kind word, even through all his hardships and health challenges.
Mr. Crincoli was the co-owner of Cezzane, a popular hair salon in Springfield N.J, for more than 40 years. An avid bocce player, Mr. Crincoli was a member of the Vallatese Club in Elizabeth and a parishioner at St. Michael’s R.C. Church in Union.Mr. Crincoli was predeceased by his son Jerry and his brothers Carmine and Joseph. He is survived by his devoted wife, Natalina; his son, Thomas “Tommy” and his daughter-in-law Kristin of Morgansville; his son David of Hoboken; three cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan and Ryan; his brother Frank of Elizabeth; and sister Michelina Chiavuzzo of Ocean Gate, N.J. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 30, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave, Union. Funeral will take place on Saturday, Dec. 31 at 8:30 am, at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J. followed by a funeral mass at 10:15am at St. Michael’s R.C.
