Giuseppe LoBrutto

Giuseppe "Joe"  LoBrutto, 68 of West Caldwell passed away peacefully on November 5, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation is at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell, NJ on Tuesday, November 6 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.  On Wednesday, November 7, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Aloysius Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell, NJ at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, NJ. A repast for family and friends will be held at Franco's Pizzeria and Ristorante, 907 Bloomfield Ave, West Caldwell, NJ immediately following the entombment.

Born in Palma di Montechiaro, Sicily, Italy to Rosario LoBrutto and Calogera Amato, Joe served in the Italian military for 18 months, stationed in Venice. After marrying, he and his wife moved to Flushing, NY in 1971 where he worked in construction.  They settled in West Caldwell, NJ in 1980 where Joe was a chef at Franco's Pizzeria and Ristorante in West Caldwell for many years.

Joe was the beloved husband of 47 years to Josephine (nee Cammalleri); loving father of Rosario LoBrutto and his wife Jennifer and Calogera LoBrutto McCormick and her husband Jason; dear grandfather of Christian and Nicholas LoBrutto, and Massimo, Niccolo and Leonardo McCormick. He was also the brother of Salvatore, Giovanna, Emanuela, Maria, Calogera, Sara, and the late Crocifissa.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association.
