Gladis Garcia 75, passed away on June 28, 2015. (nee Santana).

Wife of the late Ramon.

Mother of Carlos and Orlando.

Sister of Haydee Santana.

Grandmother of Lissette, Carlo David, Jenette and Ivette.

Gladis was born in Florida , Cuba. She arrived and settled in the Ironbound section of Newark in 1980.

She watched over a countless number of neighborhood children for 20 years as a child care provider for the United Way in the Ironbound section before retiring.

She will aways be remembered as a great wife, mother and grandmother.

A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary church in Newark on Tuesday at 9:30 AM.

Visitation at Galante Funeral Home 17 Pacific St. Newark on Tuesday from 8:30 AM until church time.
