Gloria Fernandez

Gloria Fernandez, 95, (nee Celaya) Passed away on November 11, 2018 at her home in Point Pleasant NJ.

She was the wife of the late Frank

Mother of John.

Sister of the late John Celaya and Helen Orbe.

She leaves behind her grandchildren Krysten, Greg and Alyssa and a niece Doreen Orbe.

Gloria was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She lived in the Ironbound section and then the Weequahic section of Newark before moving to Point Pleasant NJ 30 years ago.

She worked as a Bilingual Secretary for Bristol Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals ltd in Hillside before her retirement.

Gloria leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, strength and generosity that would be difficult if not impossible to match.  She took particular joy in the companionship of her family members and many friends and enjoyed entertaining in her Ocean County home.  She ensured that good food, laughter and music were always present.  Beautiful both inside and out, she was always quick with a smile, a laugh, a kind word and made all feel welcome.  Her beautiful spirit will be missed by all who knew her. “Te quiero mucho”
