Gordon Andersen, 93 of Hackettstown, N.J. died on Saturday June 11, 2016 at Forrest Manor Healthcare Center Hope, N.J.

The funeral service will be in The Gethsemane Gardens Mausoleum of Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, N.J. on Wednesday June 15, 2016 @ 12:45 PM. Entombment will follow. Visitation will be in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue in Union, NJ on Wednesday from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.

Born in Everett, Washington  he lived in Mount Holly, N.J.and then in Scotch Plains NJ for 45 years, before moving to Hackettstown, N.J. 6 years ago. He was a manager for RCA Electronics Corp. in Branchburg, N.J. for 12 years, retiring 34 years ago. A veteran of WWII he served in The Merchant Marine he was stationed  in the South Pacific, including 1 year in Post War Japan. He was a former deacon in the Roselle, N.J. Presbyterian Church. He was very proud of the fact the he took 9 vacations in Hawaii in his lifetime.

Gordon was married to his wife Mildred (nee Chapman) for 65 years. He is the father of Carol Pook, and Nancy Andersen-Ziegert. He was predeceased by his brother the late Harold Andersen. he is also the grandfather of Alex, Mae, and Katherine.
