Gordon F. Winne

Gordon F. Winne 99, of Union, died on Thursday September 13th, 2012, at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth.


Funeral Services are private. Arrangements are by Galante Funeral Home, Union, N.J.


Born in Montreal, Canada, he was a Machinist for Reinke Tool and Machine Co. in Hillside for 40 years before retiring 30 years ago. He was a graduate of Wauchula High School in Wauchula, Florida, and a member of the Gavel Loyalty Masonic Lodge # 33 Union, N.J.


Gordon was married to his late wife Edith L. Winne (nee Sandland) for 63 years, until she passed away in 2000, and was the beloved companion of Helen Rush. He was the father of Evelyn Ruut and her husband Peter, Leonora Stevenson and her late husband Robert, and Norman Winne and his wife Olga. He was the brother of Wesley L. Winne, and the grandfather of Mario, Kim, David, Eric, Marc, Valerie, and Norman Jr. as well as the great grandfather of 7 great grandchildren.


In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the Gavel Loyalty Masonic Lodge # 33 1912 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J. 07083 in his memory.
