Harry C. Greenwald

Harry C. Greenwald 89, of Union passed away on April 18, 2012 at the VA Hospital at Lyons, NJ.


The Funeral Service will be held at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union on Monday April 30, 2012 at 10 AM.


Interment following with military honors will be at Hollywood Memorial Park.


Visitation is on Sunday April 29, 2012 from 1 to 5 PM.


Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. he lived in Union for 55 years.


Harry worked for the Pathmark Supermarket chain as a deli clerk retiring 27 years ago. He was a WW II Army veteran who was a Bronze Star recipient. He was also a member of Darby’s Rangers who were the predecessors to today’s Green Berets


He is the husband of Jean (nee Richards). The father of Walter F. Greenwald, Barbara J. Gregson and AliceAnn Bauml. The brother of Evelyn Gross. Grandfather of Rebecca, Lindsey, Michael and Thaddeus. Great grandfather of Shane.
