Hazel D. Boullon

Hazel D. Boullon, 87, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025. 

Born on January 2, 1938, in Phillipsburg, NJ, Hazel was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend to many. A dedicated professional, Hazel worked as a secretary for Howard Hardware and later for the American Insurance Company, where she contributed for several years before enjoying a well-earned retirement. 

She is survived by her loving sister, Juanita Rauffenbart, and will be deeply missed by her many cherished cousins, nephews, and friends. Hazel was predeceased by her devoted husband of 52 years, Gabriel Boullon; her father, Augustin Sisto; her mother, Ida Stiffinella; and her brother-in-law, Jack Rauffenbart.

 She resided in Newark before moving to Elizabeth in 1970. A longtime member of Club España in Newark and the Westfield Pool, Hazel loved connecting with her community. She was a passionate reader, an avid Hallmark Channel enthusiast, and a loyal follower of current events and politics. She delighted in knitting and cooking, hobbies that brought warmth and comfort to those around her.Above all, Hazel was known for her devotion to her dear friends and family, always maintaining close and loyal relationships. Her genuine kindness and generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Galante Funeral Home in Union. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, January 23, at St. James Church in Springfield at 10:00 a.m., followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society in Hazel’s memory.
