Helen Slosberg (Hillburn), born in Irvington, NJ, peacefully passed away in
her daughter’s home in Edison, NJ at the age of 97. She was a loving wife,
mother, grandmother, aunt and friend that touched the lives of many through
her charismatic personality.
Helen had a passion for reading, crocheting, playing cards, coloring and
keeping up with the news. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her
friends and family and her beloved grandchildren.
Helen's kindness, love and warmth will forever live on in the hearts of those
who were blessed to know her.
Helen is survived by her daughters Barbara Ventre (Frank) and Patricia
Lionikis (George), niece Bernadette (Ken) and family, nephew Frank (Beth)
and family. She is the aunt of many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Melissa, Michael,
Christopher, and Amanda.
In loving memory, Helen now joins her late husband Jerome Slosberg and
sister Joan Harrison. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at
Galante Funeral Home-Union Location in Union on Thursday, June 6th from
4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass will be held at St. Helena Church in Edison on
Friday, June 7th at 10:00 AM followed by interment at Hollywood Cemetery
in Union.
