Helen was born in Newark; grew up in East Orange and later raised her family in the Forest Hill section of Newark. She has been a resident of Cedar Grove for the past 17 years. She was a professional dress maker with the Model Dress Company for 25 years before retiring in 1979. She continued to enjoy sewing, knitting, and crocheting for her granddaughter, family, and loved ones.


She cherished her Sicilian traditions through her cooking and baking throughout all the holidays. She was a woman of substance and character who dedicated her life to her family.


She was a world traveler prior to the passing of her husband.
