Herbert Krieger

Herbert P. Krieger, 83 of Union passed away on August 1, 2016.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday at 11 AM. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery. Visitation is on Friday from 9-11 AM.

Born in Newark, Herbert was a Union resident for over 50 years. He worked as a draftsman for many years with several companies before retiring. Mr. Krieger was an accomplished artist of oil painting and a meticulous craftsman. Great with his hands, he could build just about anything. He was also a lifelong lover of dogs and all animals.

Herbert was predeceased by his beloved wife Sophie (nee Gienda). He is survived by his dear brother Lawrence Krieger and his wife Louise; sister-in-law Mary DuFrane; nieces and nephews Renee and Patrick O'Grady, Larry Krieger, Jr,  Kenny Krieger, and Donna Robert and Diane Thomson, both of Florida. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
