Jack Lelinho, 94 of Manahawkin passed away peacefully at home on January 29, 2016.

Visitation will be held at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Tuesday from 9-11 AM. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM; with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside.

Born in Newark, Jack was a longtime resident before moving to Manahawkin 25 years ago. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II, later becoming a truck driver for Spector Mid-States Trucking for many years. Jack most recently worked for the Clam Hut Restaurant and Marina in the Atlantic Highlands. He loved going fishing and boating, especially with his brothers and his grandchildren.

Jack was the beloved husband of 68 years to Josephine (nee Garcia); loving father of Joseph G. Lelinho, Virginia Hoden and her husband Roger, and the late Jackie Lelinho; treasured grandfather of Lisa Dreher, Patricia Allen, Courtney, Carley and Molly Lelinho; and great-grandfather of James Allen, Jr., Jake and Roger Dreher. He was also the brother of Joseph Lelinho, and the late Julio, Angelo, Manuel, Delphine, Franklin, Virginia and Maria Lelinho.
