James Tarantino

James Tarantino, 75 of Union passed away on October 18, 2017.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Saturday at 8:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philomena Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave in Livingston at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation is on Friday from 5-9 PM at the funeral home.

Born in Elizabeth, James proudly served his country in the Army, stationed in Germany. He and his wife were longtime Union residents. James worked as a meat manager for Shop-Rite for many years; and was an avid golfer and bowler.

James was the beloved husband of 51 years to Marie Tarantino (nee DeRosa); loving father of James Tarantino and his wife Felicia, and Gina Tarantino; dear grandfather of James, brother of Rosemarie Lichtenstein and Barbara Eisner, and brother-in-law of Margie Tarantino.
