James R. Weisner

James R. Weisner, 54 of Caldwell passed away on April 4, 2023.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation for Jim at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Saturday April 15 from 2-4 PM.

Born in Brooklyn, Jim lived in Clifton for many years before moving to the Caldwells 20 years ago. He was a master carpenter, who thoroughly enjoyed working with his hands, building and creating. He had a passion for music, and let his creativity show with his many tattoos. Jim loved to tell jokes, and had an amazing sense of humor.

Jim's favorite hobby was caring for his aquariums. Jim loved his fish, and named them all. He was over the moon with joy when one of his fish had babies on his birthday, and loved knowing that they all shared in that special day.

Above all, Jim adored his children, and did everything he could to make them happy with support and unconditional love.

Jim was the loving father of Amanda Weisner and Brandon Weisner, and the devoted son of Deborah (nee Sullivan) Onofrietti and the late Robert Weisner. He is also survived by his sister, Laura Weisner and the beloved mother of his children, Rose Ciffo.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Clare's Hospital Adult Detox, 130 Powerville Rd. Boonton, NJ 07005, to help someone that is in need, as Jim would. For more information, please call 973-916-1879.
