Jamison Scott Blakely, 30, of Long Valley NJ passed away on Sunday November 8th, 2020. Jamie was born and raised on the shorelines of New Jersey. A longtime resident of Manasquan, Jamie attended Manasquan High School and participated in lacrosse, track, and soccer. He went on to attend Cabrini College and Rowan University where he studied Health Promotion and Fitness Management. He spent many years working for Smashburger from coast to coast, meeting many loving friends along the way. Jamie most recently worked for Lifetouch School Photography as a photographer and quickly found his passion for the art.
Among many of Jamie’s adventures, his time spent living in Sacramento, California held a very special place in his heart. Jamie dreamed of moving back permanently and fiercely dedicated his motivation to his California Dream.
No matter where life took Jamie, he could make a friend in anyone. Jamie had a special talent to connect deeply with others and to make sure they felt that connection. He will be forever remembered by his incredibly loving nature, a smile that lit the universe, and his silly sense of humor. Jamie’s outlook on life and his ability to help others are just a few of his remarkable traits by which all can adopt and honor him. Those who were lucky enough to know Jamie agree, we “never met a person who didn’t love him”.
Jamie is survived and deeply missed by his parents, Richard Scott Blakely of Long Valley and Linda Nilan Blakely of Brielle; his loving grandfather Richard Blakely; his brother Ryan (Jessica) Blakely; his aunts Donna Blakely, Dale (Thomas) Sparks, Nancy (William) Bersey and many cousins and extended family. Jamie spent hours laughing with his nieces and nephews, who will remember him by his playful spirit. Jamie is also survived and deeply missed by an abundance of friends, who he effortlessly made family.
Jamie is predeceased by his paternal grandmother Audrey Blakely and maternal grandparents John and Joan Nilan.
