Jason Lopes

Jason Da Silva Lopes, 16 of Union passed away tragically on January 3, 2015.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 403 Spring Street, Elizabeth on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-9 PM at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union.

Born in Livingston, Jason was a lifelong Union resident. He was a student at Union High School where he was attending 11th grade. Jason's favorite sport was soccer, of which he was an outstanding player for Union High School and the Township of Union. He also enjoyed playing his PS4, and hanging out with his family, especially when they got together for parties. He was a member of the Portuguese Club in Union and also a dancer, participating in a Folkloric Dance Club.

Jason is survived by his loving parents Filipe and Carla (nee Da Silva) Lopes. He was the beloved grandson of Manuel Da Silva, Maria Silva, Rosaria Marques and the late Louis Lopes; the caring brother of Juliana and Megan, and beloved God-Son of Steven Sintra and Helena Sintra. Jason is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that became family.
