Jean Arace

Jean Arace (nee Catania) 99, of West Orange died on Friday March 9th, 2012 at St. Barnabas Medical Center.


The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, on Tuesday at 8:30 am. The funeral mass is at St. Joseph Church, East Orange at 10 am. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation is Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm.


Born in Newark she lived in East Orange for many years before moving to West Orange 10 years ago. She was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Rosary Society of St. Joseph Church.


Jean was married to her late husband Louis Arace for 50 years until he died in 1997. She was the mother of Gabriel Arace and his wife Victoria, She was also the sister of Joseph Catania Jr, Marion Ferraioli, the late Michael Catania, and Congetta Giliberti, as well as the grandmother of Melissa Santini and her husband Joseph, Victoria, and Gina Arace, and the great grandmother of Anthony Santini, and Michael Nangano.


In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Family Reach Foundation 2001 Route 46 Suite 310 Parsippany, N.J. 07054 in her memory.
