Jean Lois Greenwald, 94, (nee Richards), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.  Wife of the late Harry C. Greenwald. Mother of Barbara J. Gregson and her husband Ralph, Walter F. Greenwald and his wife Theresa, Alice A. Bauml and her husband Edward.  Sister of the late Hayden Richards, JR. and his late wife Mary.  Grandmother of Rebecca Halliday and her husband Thomas, Lindsay D. Greenwald, Michael A. Greenwald, and Thaddeus J. Bauml.  Great grandmother of Shane P. Halliday.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a visitation for Jean which will be held at Galante Funeral Home, Union, NJ, on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4pm to 8pm.  Burial on Saturday, January 11, 2020 10am at Hollywood Cemetery, Union, NJ.

Jean was born on December 4, 1925 in Edwardsville, PA, Jean graduated Meyers High School in Wilks-Barre, PA and graduated from the Fashion Merchandising School in NYC.  She worked for Registrar & Transfer in Cranford and when retired devoted many years to volunteering to help the veterans at Lyons VA Medical Center with her husband, Harry.

Jean especially loved watching classic movies, listening to music especially Frank Sinatra, doing puzzle books and spending time with her family.  For many years, she was a faithful member of the 1st Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) in Union, NJ.
