Jean M. Meliti

Jean M. Meliti (nee LaBarbera), 96 of West Caldwell passed away on January 30, 2016.

Funeral Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 326 Bloomfield Ave. Caldwell on Wednesday at 10 AM. Cremation is private. Visitation is on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell.

Jean was born and raised in New York City before moving to West Caldwell in 1964. A longtime home maker, she also worked in the garment district in New York City as a seamstress.

Jean was predeceased by her first husband Sebastian; she was the wife of the late Columbus; loving mother of Alan Meliti and his wife Antoinette, Robert Luchesi, Gloria Meliti (Diletto) and the late Richard Luchesi; dear grandmother of Deborah, Lisa, Lauren, Maria, Danielle, Robert Jr. Richard Jr. Jennifer, Michael and the late Michelle, great-grandmother of 16 and great-great-grandmother of one.

Jean's greatest joy in life was her family, all of whom she held near to her heart.
