Joan De Luca, 86 of Parsippany passed away on September 9, 2021.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Joan at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Wednesday September 15 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Ave. East Hanover on Thursday September 16 at 9:45 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Born in Newark, Joan was raised in the Ironbound section of Newark before moving to East Hanover, and finally to Parsippany 17 years ago. In her youth Joan won a beauty contest as well as many medals as a talented swimmer, at the Hayes pool in the Ironbound section. She was also a member of the Red Hat Social Club for many years. Above all,

Joan was a fantastic mother, and a terrific cook. She was all about her family and would do anything for her family. She will be greatly missed.

Joan was the loving mother of Jimmy De Luca and Thomas De Luca and his wife Anne; cherished grandmother of Danielle, Jaclyn, Tommy and Michael, and adoring great-grandmother of Jenna, Melania and Nicolette. She is also fondly remembered by her three brothers and five sisters.
